Who we are

These Terms cover training with OTH Training LLC ("OTH," "we," "us"), a California limited liability company, and use of othtraining.com. OTH is an independent business that rents space at the Ventura Family YMCA, 3760 Telegraph Rd, Ventura, CA 93003. OTH is not a YMCA program. Players follow the facility's rules and the directions of its staff.

Liability waiver

Before a player's first session, a parent or legal guardian will be asked to sign OTH's separate Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Parental Consent Agreement, and the annual concussion, sudden cardiac arrest, and opioid information acknowledgments required by California law. That waiver controls on risk, release, medical care, supervision, and media. These Terms control on prices, payment, and cancellations.

Assumption of risk

Baseball training involves physical activity and carries inherent risks of injury, including being struck by balls or bats, falls, collisions, sprains, fractures, and concussions. By participating in any session, the player and (for a minor) their parent or guardian acknowledge these risks and agree that participation is voluntary. We recommend appropriate conditioning and consulting a physician before beginning any training program.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OTH Training LLC, its coaches, and the facilities where sessions are held (including Channel Islands YMCA and the Ventura Family YMCA) are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising out of participation in our services or use of this website, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. OTH Training LLC carries liability insurance.

Prices and payment

• Private lesson (45 min): $60 per lesson. Listed prices are the full price, with no added fees.
• Card on file: when you book, you save a payment card with our payment processor (Stripe); OTH never sees or stores your full card number. By saving a card, you authorize OTH to charge it for each lesson you book, after the lesson, at the price in effect when you booked. You'll receive an email receipt for each charge. To remove your card, contact us.
• You may instead pay by Venmo to @othtraining or in cash at the session.
• Prices may change. We'll post new prices on this site and let you know before your next lesson is charged at a new price.
• Small-group training is not currently offered. When groups open, each player must complete a private lesson before joining a group, and group terms will be added here.

Cancellations and no-shows

• Cancel or reschedule by the day before your lesson at no charge.
• Same-day cancellations are charged $35.
• A no-show (missing the lesson without canceling) is charged the full lesson price ($60).
• These charges go to the card saved at booking, or you can pay by Venmo or cash.
• We may reschedule a session if the facility closes or for weather or safety reasons, at no charge to you.

Drop-off and pick-up

OTH supervises players from check-in until the scheduled end of their session. Outside that time, the parent or an adult they authorize is responsible for the player and any siblings or guests on facility property. Players are released only to their parent or an authorized adult.

Conduct

Players must follow safety instructions and treat coaches, other players, facility staff, and property with respect. We may remove a player from a session or program for unsafe or disruptive conduct.

Text messages

If you opt in, you may receive SMS messages from OTH Training LLC about scheduling, reminders, and (if you separately opt in) promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Content on this site, including text, photos, and video, belongs to OTH or its licensors and may not be copied without permission.

Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; the effective date above shows the latest version. These Terms are governed by California law, and disputes will be heard in the courts of Ventura County, California.
